Resolution
In this phase the body returns back to its previous relaxed state. Directly following orgasm the body enters the refractory phase, whereby the genitals become hypersensitive and are incapable of furthur stimulation because of the pain caused. The duration of the refractory period varies among the population from as little as 2 minutes to as much as 6 hours and it increases with age.
Notable observations

Blood pressure: returns to normal as the vessels undergo vasoconstriction and the heart rate returns to normal.

Heart rate: decreases back down to a normal level.

Penis size: decrease in size as blood flows out of the erectile tissue and it returns to its flaccid state.

Testicles: decend to their resting position and the skin on the scrotum thins as the muscles relax.

Skin: palor returns to a normal colour although this may take up to an hour.

General genital area: hypersensitivity immediately following ejaculation causes further stimulation to be painful or uncomfortable.
